How do you keep abreast of the latest animal health science to both elevate your skills and meet your state license requirements for continuing education? Do you have a process in place to achieve your learning milestones? Whether you’re reading case-based research, watching the latest procedural techniques, attending conferences, or indulging virtually, you should have a plan!
Here are 3 keys to unlocking your learning potential. 1. Choose quality over quantity. Your learning efforts should come from the best known and most credible experts in the veterinary profession. 2. Consider frequency and cadence. Long-term learning takes continuous effort, so building healthy habits on a regular basis is both realistic and achievable. 3. Mix! Find educational opportunities from multiple channels, such as articles, talks, podcasts, videos, and more. This will engage your brain in multimodal learning, which builds understanding.
