For four days, the Acting Chairman of the CTF Universal Basic Education Council, Dr Sule Al-Hassan, recently led other senior council officials on a knowledge / experience sharing visit and peer review at Lagos State Universal Basic Education Council (LSUBEB).
It was also designed for boards to compare their grades and exchange ideas for better results in the delivery of national basic education services.
In his remarks, LSUBEB President Wahab Alawiye-King said the state “has the capacity in terms of strengthening human and material resources”.
LSUBEB member Sherifat Adedoyin noted that the board focuses on children’s psychomotor skills and ensures children develop mentally.
“We develop our students mentally. Children love to play and we make sure the environment is right for them to play. In Lagos State we leave no child behind and take care of their business from time to time. We also monitor the environment in which they learn, ”said Adedoyin.
A permanent board member, Bayo Adefuye, revealed that the board can monitor everything on teachers, even tablet computers, to make their jobs easier.
As part of the activities, Alawiye-King, other board members and UBEB delegates visited some state and federal government intervention projects.
During the tour, the UBEB team congratulated the LSUBEB along with Al-Hassan, saying his administration will ensure that every child receives a quality education and builds the capacity of teachers.
