EMS Program Faculty – Paramedic

As a key member of the EMS program faculty team within the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine, you will support all aspects of this vital program. This will include the coordination, development and presentation of lectures in primary, hybrid, preparatory, refresher and continuing education paramedic programs. You will be:
Collaborate in the development and delivery of psychomotor skills and simulation programs
Support the clinical/field placement portion of the program
Innovate and research new learning methods
· Act as a student advocate
Create an active learning environment
Maintain a high level of industrial competence

We are looking for a motivated, creative and collaborative person with:
· Formal training in educational theory
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field – Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge of EMS education accreditation requirements
Expertise in using simulation to achieve learning objectives
Thorough knowledge of pre-hospital care procedures/techniques
· Valid unrestricted driver’s license
· Ability to drive a personal vehicle in off-campus locations
Flexibility to work days, evenings and/or weekends
Ability to lift, carry and balance over 125 pounds
Excellent hand-eye and motor coordination
